Why greater china ?

To clarify, we would not want any political, national connotation for the round name greater china. We mainly emphasize on the language and culture part of this phrase. We wanna focus on the chinese-speaking community, no matter you are from mainland, taiwan, hongkong, malay, US, anywhere . Because, we felt that language is truly a barrier for the global web3 community . There are many discussions, cooperations circulated withi n a language community, and much less across communities of diffferent lanaguges. Thus, we initate this eco round for 2 main objectives :

first we wanna build a stronger chinese speaking ethereum eco community, we wanna funding projects that help onboarding devs, pms, reseacvhers, and all kinds of commuinty particpatipants. sample past projects such as ECN, dapp learning, wtf learning . we also espcially wanna funding projects that can help imrpove the total productiveity , usalibilty of web3 eco, metashiled gives a good security env , or project like vyper , ether js that improve the producitity of many other developers . Of course , we love zk projects, and the specficis will be discussed by our friends from scroll.

Second, we wanna facilate a good interaction between chinese speaking web3 community and the rest of the world. We beleive there are lots of potentials in chinese speaking community, there many good people, the power should be used to contribute to the public goods of all web3, and chinese comm should engage the important discssuion of web3 future. To be specfic, even if the core member of your team does not speak chinese, you may be still eligible for our round, if you regard connecting chinese commnity as part of your mission. For example, if you are an educatiokn project, and you translsate most of your maeterial in chinese, we would love to fund the tranlsation effort, and project and project itself. Or if you are a general tech project, and you have chinese version documentation, we would also consider funding your project .
