On July 6, 2023, PGN announced the launch of its beta version on Twitter. Currently, there have been over 100,000 transactions on the testnet, with over 400 retweets.
PGN, short for Public Goods Network, is an experimental initiative initiated by Gitcoin, aiming to fund public goods. It has garnered support from organizations such as Protocol Guild, Public Nouns, Clr.fund, Giveth, Hypercerts, Protocol Labs, Octant, Eco, Hedgey, among others. As an upgraded version of Gitcoin Grants' second funding round, PGN aims to provide a sustainable funding source for public goods through the trial of a funding mechanism.

EIP-6968 presents a generalized protocol that networks can reference in order to implement Canto’s Contract Secured Revenue (CSR), as defined in CIP-001 63.
EIP-6968 is a modified version of EIP-1559 that maintains the benefits of transient congestion management and provides a novel economic mechanism that allows contract creators to receive a portion of the gas fees consumed by their contracts within a given block.
EIP-6968 will directly align incentives between smart contract deployers and networks in a manner that contributes toward constructive community activity. Although this initial EIP targets L2 implementation, it can be applied to any network which applies EIP-1559 logic in the future.
The platform implements the Pensieve Mechanism to enable more efficient coordination and extract collective intelligence from the community to promote accountable and legitimate legitimacy of Blockchain & Web3 web 3 projects across the entire spectrum of the crypto space.
Ethereum Community Fund aims to solve coordination problems with original solutions that integrate robust Web3 technologies to allow for the collaborative editing of a decentralized knowledge base owned by the community.
Credible sources of information are hard to find, and the tendency to rely on authoritative institutions has seen its own pitfalls. Ethereum Community Fund proposes a mechanism that incentivizes the collaborative editing of a decentralized knowledge base owned and governed by the community.
The goal of Funding the Commons is to bridge the public goods community across Web2, Web3, research, philanthropy, and industry. We do this by convening builders and practitioners, researchers and academics, and funders and philanthropists, catalyzing innovation in public goods.
